I went to the lake this weekend to celebrate the 4th of July and it came up a storm! After about 30 minutes of hard rain it stopped raining cleared up and well the sun didnt shine but it didnt rain anymore. It did offer up some nice pics tho. This was the best one.

Storm Clouds My niece took this with her cell phone last night while she was playing softball in Burkesville, Ky. It was lighting and thundering and she said this pictures does not do the acctualy cloud justice. It was the most unusal cloud she had seen. Luckaliy they called off the game before it got real bad.

Me and my wonderful hubby went riding around this weekend up to Celina to the dam and to get some awesome bbq. We went down to the rec area below the dam and it was so pretty with the fog hanging over the water and the sun peaking out over the trees. Just a reminder of the great place we live in!

We have had lots of rain here in Cookeville lately. All the rain has made my rose bushes bloom. I took some pics with the raindrops still on the roses and thought that they turned out super nice.

Did you know that the iris was the state of Tennesee's state flower? Most people consider the purple Iris to be the state flower locally. It is a beauty.
There is a very neat story to all of this.

Wonderful Snow! Since it snowed here yesterday, after the rain and sleet, I went out and took some pictures.
Those are Trumpeter Swans! Swans in Jackson County Tennessee! I was very surprised. They are Huge!

Since a good snow doesnt come along as often as I wish it would i thought that I would get out today nd take some pictures of it at local Cane Creek Park. The First picture is a picture of the lake. Its Frozen! But I wouldnt want to try and walk out on it. its only like an inch thick.As soon as iturned around and took this picture ^ my camera died ...

I was out drivig around earlier this week because i love the fall colors. I drove up to Standing Stone State Park which is only a short drive from Cookeville. All the beautiful colors just took my breath away. I got out my camera and started clicking. I knew I had to share these with you all. Enjoy!
